The old Jaffa synagogue is located on a hill in Old Jaffa and was established in 1740 as the first Jewish hostel in Jaffa. The Libyan synagogue constitutes an architectural pearl with its exclusive view to the Mediterranean Sea. This Libyan Synagogue was the first Jewish synagogue assembled in Jaffa. In 1948, the first Libyan immigrants arrived to settle in Old Jaffa.
